Product details
Join us for an evening with Shelley Zetuni of Sewing Smith to celebrate the launch of her new book, A Beginner's Guide to Visible Mending. Shelley will talk through the book and take questions, sharing how she got into mending and what she hopes stitchers take from it.
The book is full of ways to bring old clothes and charity shop finds back to life, covering darning, embroidery, needle felting, appliqué and binding, with twenty projects to put the techniques into practice once you're home. It's a lovely introduction whether you're new to mending or already patching away.
Your ticket includes a signed copy of the book, a drink and nibbles for the evening. Everyone attending also gets 10% off shop purchases on the night.
About Your Teacher
Shelley Zetuni is the founder of Sewing Smith and has become one of the UK's leading voices on visible mending, teaching stitchers how to repair and reinvent their clothes rather than replace them. She's a regular guest teacher at Ray Stitch, running classes in darning, shashiko-inspired mending and English paper piecing for repair. Her new book pulls together years of teaching mending techniques into one approachable, project-led guide.
